FILTER Replace the water filter when the refrigerator control pad Filter Reset indicator light turns on, or when your water dispenser or icemaker performance decreases noticeably. 2. Replace with a new cartridge. Take the new cartridge out of its packaging and remove protective cover from the o-rings. With cartridge knob in the vertical position, push the new filter cartridge into the cover until it stops. \ After changing the water filter cartridge, press and hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds; indicator light will go out. 1. Remove the old cartridge. Place a container under the hole of filter holder. Push the filter in firmly and turn it clockwise about 1/4 turn. You will hear it snap when the filter clicks into place. NOTE: When filter is being removed, the water drains through the hole. Rotate the knob of the cartridge counter-clockwise. \ Pull out the filter cartridge. \ 3. Flush the water system after replacing filter. Dispense water through the water dispenser for three minutes to flush the system.
