5. Remove the two screws that secure the system fan assembly. 6. Remove the system fan assembly by pulling the bracket outward and lifting it up from the system board to remove completely. Figure 33. Removing the system fan assembly 7. Install a new system fan assembly and install the two screws that secure the system fan assembly. 8. Connect the system fan assembly cable to the system fan connector on the system board. 9. Reinstall the hard disk drive. 10. Go to "Completing the parts replacement" on page 37. Replacing the internal speaker Attention Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer. To replace the internal speaker: 1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 14. 2. Remove the front bezel and drive bay assembly. See "Accessing the system board components and drives" on page 15. 3. You might have to remove the hard disk drive to gain easy access to the internal speaker. See "Replacing the hard disk drive" on page 26. 4. Locate the internal speaker connector on the system board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 11. 5. Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the system board. 34 User Guide
