PC-Doctor for Windows NT The PC-Doctor for Windows NT (4.0) program is provided on the Ready-to-Configure Utility Program CD. This diagnostic program is designed specifically for the Windows NT operating environment and can be used only when Windows NT is active. This program not only tests the hardware, but also analyzes certain software components of your computer. The program is especially useful in isolating problems related to the operating system and device drivers. To use the PC-Doctor for Windows NT program: 1. If you have not already done so, install the program onto your hard disk. (Information about installing software from the Ready-to-Configure Utility Program CD is in About Your Software.) 2. To run the program after it is installed, select it from the Programs choice on the Start menu and follow the instructions on the screen. Help is available online. CoSession Remote CoSession Remote is a remote-control diagnostic program that can be used by another individual, such as an IBM technical support representative or your in-house administrator, to help diagnose from a remote location, problems with your computer. CoSession is provided on the Ready-to-Configure CD for your computer. To use CoSession, it must be installed in your computer. Important Before attempting to use CoSession, contact IBM or your in-house administrator for specific instructions on setting up and using the program. Installing Files from Option Diskettes An optional device or adapter might come with a diskette. Diskettes that are included in option packages usually contain files that the system needs for recognizing and activating the options. Until you install the necessary files, the new device or adapter might cause error messages. If your optional device or adapter comes with a diskette, you might need to install some configuration (.CFG) files or diagnostic files (.EXE or .COM) from the diskette to your hard disk.
