Loading 500-sheet trays Follow these instructions to load A4 or letter size paper into a 500-sheet tray, depending on which tray you purchased. Do not exceed the recommended capacity (see page 15). 1 Remove the tray, and then set it on a flat surface. 2 Remove the tray cover. Make sure all packing materials have been removed from inside the tray. 3 Flex the sheets of paper back and forth to loosen them, and then fan them. Do not fold or crease the paper. Straighten the edges of the stack on a level surface. 4 Place the paper against the back of the tray, print side up. Make sure the paper is under both corner bucklers and lying flat in the tray. 5 Replace the tray cover. 6 Insert the tray. 7 Select the paper type and paper source from the operator panel. You will also need to select the paper size, type, and source from your software application when you send a job to print. Load paper 21
