Appendix Optional Mounting NOTICE TO DRIVERS IN CALIFORNIA AND MINNESOTA: State law prohibits drivers in California and Minnesota from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. Other state or local laws may also prohibit drivers from using suction cups on their windshields. Other Magellan dashboard or friction mounting options should be used and are available at www.magellanGPS.com. Thales Navigation, Inc. does not take any responsibility for any fines, penalties, or damages that may be incurred as a result of disregarding this notice. (See California Vehicle Code Section 26708(a); Minnesota Statutes 2005, Section 169.71.) Instructions for Mounting the Adhesive Disk 1. Locate a flat, non-porous surface on the dashboard or console. Clean the selected area with the alcohol pad provided. Do NOT affix to windshield. 2. Peel the paper cover off of the adhesive backing. 3. Apply the disk to the cleaned surface. Allow the adhesive disk to cure in the vehicle at room temperature (72°F) for 24-hours before attaching the windshield mount. 4. Attach the windshield mount to the adhesive disk by frimly pressing the suction cup against the disk. Lock the suction cup by pressing the locking lever. Position the mount so that the Magellan RoadMate is at a comfortable viewing level. 110

Instructions for Mounting the Adhesive Disk
1.
Locate a flat, non-porous surface on the dashboard or con-
sole.
Clean the selected area with the alcohol pad pro-
vided.
Do NOT affix to windshield.
2.
Peel the paper cover off of the adhesive backing.
3.
Apply the disk to the cleaned surface.
Allow the adhesive disk to cure in the vehicle at room
temperature (72°F) for 24-hours before attaching the
windshield mount.
4.
Attach the windshield mount to the adhesive disk by frimly
pressing the suction cup against the disk.
Lock the suction
cup by pressing the locking lever.
Position the mount so that the Magellan RoadMate is at a
comfortable viewing level.
