Shooting Suited for the Scene (Scene Mode) Features The following icons are used for descriptions in this section: X: flash mode when the built-in flash is raised (A 29); n: self-timer (A 32); p: macro mode (A 49); o: exposure compensation (A 33). b Portrait Use this mode for taking portraits in which the main subject stands out clearly. • If the camera detects a face, it focuses on the face. See "Face Detection" (A 24) for more information. • If more than one face is detected, the camera focuses on the face closest to the camera. • If no faces are detected, the camera will focus on the center of the screen. • Digital zoom is not available. m V* n Off* p Off o 0.0* * Other settings can be selected. c Landscape Use this mode for vivid landscapes and cityscapes. • Camera focuses at infinity. The focus area or focus indicator (A 8) always glows green when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.
