Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu A Best Shot Selector (BSS) The "best shot selector" is convenient for shooting in situations where inadvertent camera movement can result in blurred pictures. At [On] setting, the flash automatically turns off and focus, exposure, and white balance for all pictures are determined by the first picture in each series. A On Recommended for taking pictures in poorly lit places, or in other situations where camera shake may occur. Camera takes shots while shutter-release button is pressed, to a maximum of ten. These images are then compared and the sharpest picture (picture with highest level of detail) is saved. H Off (default setting) Only one picture is taken.
