Get started 2. Get started ■ Remove the protective cover The device comes with a cover that provides additional protection to the touch screen. To remove the cover from the device, slide it in the direction of the arrow. To reattach the cover, slide the device inside the cover so that the touch screen remains visible, and the base of the device faces the opening in the cover. ■ Insert the battery 1. Press the button on the battery cover, and slide the cover away from the device (1). 2. Align the golden contacts of the battery with the corresponding connectors on the device, and press the opposite end of the battery into the device (2). 3. Slide the battery cover back onto the device until it clicks into place. Always switch the device off, and disconnect the charger before removing the battery. 8 Copyright © 2005 Nokia.
