Replacing the Management NIC One screw is located behind the ejector and locking lever and the other screw is on the opposite side of the NIC. Note If you cannot tighten the retaining screws, the NIC is not installed properly. Remove the NIC and reinstall it. The front plate of the NIC must be flush with the chassis. 6. Press the power switch on both power supplies, located at the back of the appliance, to turn on the appliance. The security platform automatically recognizes the new four-port 10/100/ 1000 Ethernet management NIC. 7. Reconnect the cables to the ports on the management NIC and access Network Voyager by using the same connection you used before you replaced the NIC. If you cannot access Network Voyager, verify that the NIC is installed properly. Verify that the status LEDs indicate a connection to the NIC and that the NIC is sending and receiving data traffic. If you still cannot access Network Voyager, or if the status LEDs do not indicate a connection, see the "Nokia Contact Information" on page 3 for information about how to contact your Nokia service provider.
