4 Connecting to the Network Interface Cards Note For IP2255 appliances, Nokia recommends the use of shielded twistedpair cables and connectors for best Electromagnetic Interference and Immunity performance. Figure 13 shows the pin assignments for the straight-through cable with an RJ-45 connector. The RJ-45 cable output connector is numbered from right to left, with the copper tabs facing up and toward you.
