The Playback Mode Palette appears. 3 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select Z (Red- eye Compensation). 4 Press the 4 button. 6 A confirmation dialog for overwriting the image appears. Overwrite original image? 5 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Overwrite] or [Save as]. Overwrite Save as If the image is protected, a confirmation MENU Cancel OK OK screen does not appear. The image is automatically saved with a new file name. 6 Press the 4 button. The edited image is saved with the same number of recorded pixels and quality level as the original. Editing and Printing Images • The red-eye compensation function cannot be used on movies or on images where red eyes cannot be detected on the camera. An error message appears in Step 4. • The red-eye compensation can be used for still images taken with this camera. However, it cannot be used for panoramic pictures or images taken with the 16-frame shooting function. 109

Editing and Printing Images
You can compensate the “red-eye” in flash pictures.

Red-eye Compensation
The red-eye compensation function cannot be used on movies or
on images where red eyes cannot be detected on the camera. An

this camera. However, it cannot be used for panoramic pictures or
images taken with the 16-frame shooting function.
