Messages Messages such as the following may appear on the LCD monitor during camera operation. Battery depleted The batteries are exhausted. Replace with new batteries. If using rechargeable batteries, charge the batteries. (p.18) Built-in memory full Memory card full The built-in memory/SD Memory Card is full and no more images can be saved. Insert a new SD Memory Card or delete unwanted images. (p.22, p.94) Change the quality level or recorded pixels of recorded images and try again. (p.100) Memory card error Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem with the SD Memory Card. You may be able to display or copy the images on the card using a PC. Card not formatted The SD Memory Card you have inserted is unformatted or has been formatted on a computer or other device and is not compatible with this camera. Format the SD Memory Card in the camera. (p.121) Card locked The SD Memory Card is write-protected. (p.24) Compression error This message appears when compression of images has failed. Change the quality level/size and record or save again. No image/sound There are no image/sound files on the SD Memory Card. Deleting This message appears when the camera is deleting an image or sound file. Camera cannot play this image and sound You are trying to play back an image or sound in a format not supported by this camera. You may be able to play it back on another brand of camera or your computer. The largest file number (9999) has been assigned to an Image folder could not image in the largest folder number (999) and no more be created images can be saved. Insert a new SD Memory Card or format the card. (p.121) 9 Protected The image or sound file you are trying to delete is protected. Data being recorded This message appears when you try to switch to Q mode while an image is still being recorded, or when the protect setting or DPOF setting is being changed. Data being processed This message appears when the camera takes more than five seconds to display an image due to image processing, or when the SD Memory Card or built-in memory is being formatted. Messages
Messages such as the following may appear on the LCD monitor during
camera operation.
Battery depleted
The batteries are exhausted. Replace with new batteries. If

Built-in memory full
The built-in memory/SD Memory Card is full and no more
images can be saved.
Insert a new SD Memory Card or delete unwanted images.

Memory card full
Memory card error
Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem
with the SD Memory Card. You may be able to display or
