Turning the Camera On and Off 1 Power switch Q button Getting Started Turning the Camera On in Capture Mode 1 Press the power switch. The LCD monitor turns on and the lens extends. The camera turns on in A mode (Capture mode). If [Language/ ] screen or [Date Adjust] screen appears when you turn on the camera, follow the procedures on p.28 to select the display language and/or set current date and time. 2 Press the power switch again. The LCD monitor turns off, the lens closes, and the camera turns off. Checking the Memory Card The memory card is checked automatically when the camera turns on. + appears on the LCD monitor when there is no SD Memory Card inserted in the camera. Press the power switch.
The LCD monitor turns on and the lens extends. The camera turns on
