7 General (continued from previous page) Symptom There's no picture. Cause The parking brake cord is not connected. The parking brake is not applied. Remedy Connect a parking brake cord, and apply the parking brake. 7 DVD Player Symptom Playback is not possible. Cause The disc is dirty. Remedy Clean the disc. (See page 16.) The loaded disc is a type this unit cannot play. Check what type the disc is. Non compatible video system disc is loaded. Change to a disc compatible to your video system. The loaded disc has a different region number from this unit. Replace the disc with one featuring the same region number as this unit. (See page 13.) There's no sound. Connections are incorrect. Check connections. With some discs, 96 kHz output Switch the output setting to is prohibited. 48 kHz. (See page 117.) The unit is performing Still, Slow Motion or Frame-ByFrame playback. There is no sound during Still, Slow Motion or Frame-ByFrame playback. The prohibited mark " " is displayed, and operation is not possible. The operation is prohibited for the disc. The operation is not compatible with the disc's organization. This operation is not possible. The picture stops (pauses) and the unit cannot be operated. Reading of data has become impossible during playback. After pressing the STOP (7) button once, start playback once more. There's audio and video skipping. This unit is not firmly secured.
