Problem Strong odor. Oven racks are difficult to slide. Possible cause Solution An odor coming from the insulation around the inside of the oven is normal for the first few times the oven is used. Operate the oven empty on the bake setting at 400 °F for 1 hour. The shiny, silver-colored racks have residue on their surfaces. Apply a small amount of vegetable oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges of the oven racks with the paper towel. DRAWER Problem The drawer does not slide smoothly or drags. Possible cause The drawer is out of alignment. The drawer is over-loaded or the load is unbalanced. Solution Fully extend the drawer and push it all the way in. See the page 40. Reduce weight. Redistribute drawer contents. Information codes OVEN Problem C-d0 C-d1 C-20 C-21 C-30 C-31 Possible cause Solution This code occurs if the Control key is short for 1 minute. This code occurs if the door lock is mispositioned. The oven sensor is open when the oven is operating. The oven sensor is short when the oven is operating. Press OVEN OFF and restart the oven. If the problem persists, disconnect all power to the range for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect the power. If this does not solve the problem, call for service. This code occurs if the internal temperature rises abnormally high. The PCB sensor is open when the oven is operating. The PCB sensor is short when the oven is operating.
