Handset Lock (M 9-8-2) The Handset Lock is an additional security feature which prevents unauthorised use of the phone or certain features. The default handset lock code is "0000". 1. Perform steps 1 to 3 in "Opening the Security Screen" on page 180. 2. Press a or b to highlight "Handset Lock", then press to select. 3. Press a or b to highlight "On" or "Off", then press to select. 4. Enter your handset code, then press . If you enter an incorrect handset code, the screen will clear and you are prompted to enter the code again. Handset Lock

If you enter an incorrect handset code, the screen
