Adjusting Your Setup What the Ratings Mean Ratings in the U.S.A. Sony's predetermined ratings These are original ratings that Sony has predetermined according to the viewer's age. Each rating allows for viewing of certain programs, as follows. (See the next column for a description of TV and movie ratings.)
