Hardware, Utilities and Options Graphics controller The graphics controller maximizes display performance. Refer to Display Controller and Video mode section in Appendix B for more information. Sound Sound system The integrated sound system provides support for the computer's internal speaker and microphone, as allowing an external microphone and headphones to be connected via the appropriate jacks. Communications LAN Bluetooth Wireless LAN The computer has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T), Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second, 100BASE-TX) and Gigabit Ethernet LAN (1000 megabits per second, 1000BASE-T). It is pre-installed as a standard device in some markets. Some computers in this series offer Bluetooth wireless communication functionality which eliminates the need for cables between electronic devices such as computers, printers and mobile phones. When implemented, Bluetooth provides a fast, reliable and secure means to achieve wireless communication in a small space. Some computers in this series are equipped with a Wireless LAN card that is compatible with other LAN systems based on Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum/Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing radio technology that complies with the IEEE 802.11 Standard (Revision A, B, G or N Draft Ver. 1.0).
