Alternate way to set up Answering Overview system Handset 1. Press on the handset in idle mode. 2. Press q CID or p to scroll to Answering sys, and then press . 1 3. Press q CID or p to scroll to Voice guide, the press . You hear the voice prompt "This voice 10 2 guide will assist you with the basic 11 3 setup of your answering system." 12 4 4. Set up your answering system by 13 5 inputting designated numbers as 14 instructed in the voice guide. NOTE 6 15 7 • You can press on the 16 8 handset to quit the voice guide at any 9 time. 1 2 3 MENU/ SELECT 4 VOICE LCD display CHARGE light • Display the menu. • Select an item or save an entry or setting while in the menu. • Activate the voicecontrolled application of one of the connected devices when the system is in idle. If there is no paired device, then the handset will prompt Pair cell first to remind you for remote voice control activation. 20 OFF/ 5 CANCEL • Hang up a call. • Return to the previous menu or idle mode without making changes. • Delete digits while predialing. • Silence the handset ringer temporarily while the phone is ringing. • Press and hold to erase the missed call indicator while the handset is not in use. 6 OPER 0 • Enter space character during text editing. • Press and hold to set and turn on the QUIET 7 QUIET # mode, or turn it off. • When reviewing a caller ID log entry, press repeatedly to view other dialing options. • Block the incoming call when the telephone is ringing. 8 CALL BLOCK • When on a call, press to block the call. • Show the Smart call blocker menu when idle. • Mute the microphone during a call. • Mute the ringer temporarily when the handset is ringing. • Delete an individual entry while reviewing the caller 9 MUTE/ DELETE ID log, the phonebook or the redial memory. • Delete digits while predialing. • Delete the playing message or the recorded announcement during message or announcement playback. • Show phonebook entries. 10 CID • Review the caller ID log. • Move the cursor to the left or right while entering names or numbers. 10 pVOLUME/ VOLUMEq • Increase or decrease the listening volume when on a call, or increase or decrease the message playback volume. • Review the redial list. 11 REDIAL/ PAUSE • Insert a dialing pause while dialing or entering numbers into the phonebook. • Make or answer a cell call. • Answer an incoming cell call when you hear a call 12 CELL waiting alert during a cell call. • Call back the caller if the caller's number is available while reviewing caller ID log. 13 HOME/ FLASH • Make or answer a home call. • Answer an incoming home call when you hear a call waiting alert. • Call back the caller if the caller's number is available while reviewing caller ID log. • While reviewing a caller ID log entry, press repeatedly to add or remove 1 in front of 14 1 the telephone number before dialing or saving it in the phonebook. • Press and hold to set or dial your voicemail number. • Switch to tone dialing temporarily during a call 15 TONE / aA if you have pulse service. • Change the next letter to upper or lower case while entering names. 21
