Pattern Length: 1 ... 8 Although the pattern length parameter can be set from 1 to 8 measures for the Intro, Main A, Main B, and Ending sections, the Fill sections can only have a length of 1 measure. Time signature: 1/16 ... 16/16, 1/8 ... 16/8, 1/4 ... 8/4 3 Engage the Patch Mode Press the [F4] function key ("Patch") to engage the patch mode - i.e. the mode in which phrases are "patched" together to create patterns. Set the Pattern Length & Time Signature
If you’re starting with an empty pattern, move the cursor top the pattern length
and time signature parameters and set as required.

Engage the Patch Mode
Press the
[F4]
function key (“Patch”) to engage the patch mode — i.e. the
mode in which phrases are “patched” together to create patterns. The patch
display for an empty pattern will appear as follows:

Enter the Required Phrase Numbers
With the cursor in the appropriate locations, use any data entry method to enter
the required phrase numbers. You can enter different phrases at different meas-
ures of the same track. If no other data is entered, a phrase entered on the first
measure of a track will repeat for the entire track. Phrases which are longer than
one measure are indicated by a wavy line extending for the length of the phrase.
Pattern Length: 1 … 8
Time signature: 1/16 … 16/16, 1/8 … 16/8, 1/4 … 8/4
