CHAPTER 33 Email Notification 33.1 Overview A mail server is an application or a computer that runs such an application to receive, forward and deliver email messages. To have the VMG send reports, logs or notifications via email, you must specify an email server and the email addresses of the sender and receiver. 33.2 Email Notification Click Maintenance > Email Notification to open the Email Notification screen. Use this screen to view, remove and add mail server information on the VMG. Figure 157 Maintenance > Email Notification The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 126 Maintenance > Email Notification LABEL DESCRIPTION Add New Email Click this button to create a new entry. Mail Server Address This field displays the server name or the IP address of the mail server. Username This field displays the user name of the sender's mail account. Port This field displays the port number of the mail server. Security This field displays the protocol used for encryption. Email Address This field displays the email address that you want to be in the from/sender line of the email that the VMG sends. Remove Click this button to delete the selected entry(ies).
