Chapter 5 Network Map and Status Screens 5.3 Status Use this screen to view the status of the VMG. Click Status to open this screen. Figure 23 Status Screen Each field is described in the following table. Table 8 Status Screen LABEL DESCRIPTION Refresh Interval Select how often you want the VMG to update this screen. Device Information Host Name This field displays the VMG system name. It is used for identification. Model Number This shows the model number of your VMG. Serial Number This field displays the serial number of the VMG. Firmware Version This is the current version of the firmware inside the VMG. WAN Information (These fields display when you have a WAN connection.) Encapsulation This field displays the current encapsulation method. IP Address This field displays the current IP address of the VMG in the WAN. IP Subnet Mask This field displays the current subnet mask in the WAN. MAC Address This shows the WAN Ethernet adapter MAC (Media Access Control) address of your VMG. Primary DNS server This field displays the first DNS server address assigned by the ISP.
