● NISSAN recommends that child restraints be installed in the rear seat. However, if you must install a forward facing child restraint in the front center bench seat, follow these instructions carefully. ● A child restraint with a top tether strap should not be used in the front passenger seat. Front air bags inflate with great force. A rear-facing child restraint could be struck by the front air bag in a crash and could seriously injure or kill your child. Foward-Facing - step 1 Refer to all Warnings and Cautions in the "Child Safety" and "Child Restraints" sections before installing a child restraint. Follow these steps to install a child restraint in the front center bench seat: 1. If you must install a child restraint in the front seat, it should be placed in a forward-facing direction only. Move the seat to the rearmost position.
