Normal Record This is the Standard record mode. All control is from the FS-4 front panel. When you press REC, the FS-4 begins standard recording. Pressing REC once puts the FS-4 into REC PAUSE mode. Pressing it a second time puts the FS-4 into RECORD mode. Retro Disk Record Mode (FS-4Pro Only) Step 1: Press the Left Navigation key to display the Retro Disk screen. Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: Use the Left and Right navigation keys to sequence through HH and MM. Use the Up and Down navigation keys to increment and decrement values. This value is automatically limited to the maximum remaining disk duration. Adjust the minutes and hours value between 0 and 59. Select BACK to return to the RECORD Screen with the current cursor row set to the RETRO DISK value. The "HH:MM" row is for display only. RETRO DISK records the video signal over itself in a continuous loop. RETRO DISK always keeps at least the amount of time that you select in a series of one-minute clips. NOTE: In order to function correctly, the FS-4 must always have at least one minute of disk space (under 60 minutes) or 9 minutes, 13 seconds of disk space (when RETRO DISK value is set to greater than 60 minutes) remaining in addition to the set RETRO DISK value. For instance, it is not possible to set a RETRO DISK value of one minute if only one minute of disk space remains. • Once the RETRO DISK time is set, An "L" appears next to the record symbol on the FS-4's display and also in the camcorder's viewfinder. 32
