FORMAT DISK FOCUS Enhancements recommends that the FS-4 is formatted after each recording to prevent lost frames due to fragmentation. NOTE: FORMATTING WILL ERASE ALL DATA ON DISK! Back up or transfer any files or clips on the FS-4 before selecting a format. This selection formats the disk as follows: Step 1: Step 2: From the Utilities screen, use the Down navigation key to move the cursor to Format Disk. The row appears as inversed text. Press Select. The following screen appears. Step 3: Select YES to begin formatting and a status screen appears. Upon complete or error, the screen displays a completion message. The message will be either "Aborted," or "Complete." Step 4: Select BACK to return to the Setup Screen with the current cursor row set to FORMAT DISK. REPAIR DISK This selection repairs the disk as follows: Step 1: From the Utilities screen, use the Down navigation key to move the cursor to Repair Disk. The row appears as inversed text. 47

transfer any files or clips on the FS-4 before selecting a format.
This selection formats the disk as follows:
Step 1:
