Setting background printing (Windows 98/Me only) You can set the machine to perform background printing. In the [Printer Properties] or [Printing Preferences] dialog box, on the [Page Setup] tab, follow the steps below. To open the [Printer Properties] or [Printing Preferences] dialog box J "Changing print settings (Opening the settings dialog box)" 1 On the [Page Setup] tab, click [Printer control]. 2 If you want the machine to continue printing in the background while you process other work on your computer, select [Background Printing]. 3 If you want printing to begin while the document is being sent to the print queue, select [Print during spooling]. If cleared, printing will not begin until the entire document is sent to the print queue. 4 Click [OK]. If you select background printing, the background monitor will open at the bottom right of the Windows desktop. 35
