Protecting Images You can protect important images so that they cannot be accidentally erased with the camera (pp. 30, 139). Protect the image. z Touch ø, then drag up or down the menu to the left to choose :. X Once set, will appear on the screen. z To unlock an image, touch ø again, then drag up or down the screen to choose :. If you format the memory card (pp. 23, 165), protected images will also be erased. Protected images cannot be erased with the camera's erase function.
