Menu Description High altitude Switch the fan mode to suit installation at low or high altitudes (above 2,300 m [7,545.8']). Option Function Off Setting for altitudes lower than 2,300 m (7,545.8'). On Setting for altitudes of 2,300 m (7,545.8') or higher. Incorrect settings may shorten the useful life of the projector components. Operating mode Switch the method of controlling the light source and fan. Option Function Normal Normal drive mode. Brightness will decrease with time. Fixed brightness Maintains nearly the same brightness set at installation. Laser diode wear is detected by a sensor, and current is increased to compensate for wear. Long duration 1 Enables a relatively longer useful life of optical parts by reducing the brightness level of the light source mode and regulating the fan drive. Long duration 2 Enables an even longer useful life of optical parts by further reducing the brightness level of the light source mode and more aggressively regulating the fan drive. When using the projector continuously for 24 hours or more, or when turning the projector off by unplugging it, execute light source calibration using one of the settings below. If calibration is not executed, the projector will be unable to maintain fixed brightness. • Periodically specify [OK] in [Light source calibration] in [Calibration] (P179). • Specify CALIBRATION in [Schedule] (P176). Lens shift mode Switch the available lens shift range as needed. Option Function Normal Provides a normal lens shift range. Expanded Provides an expanded lens shift range. • Selecting [Expanded] may lower image quality and keystone correction precision, depending on the extent of lens shift. • Selecting [Normal] when the lens is in the expanded range (outside the normal position) will execute lens shift reset (P158). 154
