Troubleshooting ■ The Projector Cannot Join the Network Cause The LAN cable (shielded twisted pair) is not connected correctly. The projector has not been on long enough (less than about 40 seconds). The projector cannot join a wireless network. A HDBaseT transmitter or similar device is not on. Countermeasure Check whether the LAN cable (shielded twisted pair) is connected to the projector correctly (P83). Network functions are not available until about 40 seconds after the projector is plugged in. Wait at least 40 seconds, and then try to connect again (P89). Follow the instructions in "Network Setting" (P91 - P92), "Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi)" (P30), and "Detailed settings (wireless)" (P189 - P193) to set up the projector again. In PJ AP mode, try changing the wireless channel on the projector (P189 - P193). In infrastructure mode, try changing the wireless channel on the access point. If connection is still not possible, contact the Canon Customer Support Center. Check the power of the HDBaseT transmitter. ■ You Cannot Operate the Remote Control Cause Batteries are not installed properly or they have run out. You are operating the remote control from the outside of the remote control operating range. There is an obstacle between the projector and the remote control. You are operating the remote control in an unsuitable operating environment. The channel setting of the remote control does not match the setting of the projector. Countermeasure Check whether batteries are installed correctly. If batteries are installed correctly, replace them with new batteries (P40). Check whether you are operating the remote control within the remote control operating range of the main unit of the projector (P41). Remove the obstacle between the infrared remote receiver of the main unit of the projector and the remote control or point the remote control in an obstacle-free path. Check whether the infrared remote receiver of the main unit of the projector is exposed to direct sunlight or strong light of lighting apparatus (P41). Check whether the channel setting of the remote control has been changed. You can check the [Remote control channel] setting in the [System settings] menu (P168). 234

Cause

Countermeasure

The LAN cable (shielded

Check whether the LAN cable (shielded twisted pair)

is connected to the projector correctly (
