Connecting to the GBIC Module Ports Chapter 2 Installing and Starting Up the Switch Follow these steps to connect to the 1000BaseX port: Step 1 Step 2 Remove the rubber plugs from the fiber-optic port on the module, and store them for future use. Insert the SC connector in the fiber-optic receptacle, as shown in Figure 2-11. Follow these steps to connect to the 1000BaseX port:
Step 1
