Chapter 2 Messages and Recovery Procedures GBIC_SECURITY_CRYPT Messages Error Message GBIC_SECURITY-6-SFP_REMOVED: Transceiver SFP [chars] module removed from [chars] Explanation The OIR facility detected the removal of a transceiver module from the interface specified in the message. The first [chars] is the module, and the second [chars] is the interface. Recommended Action No action is required. GBIC_SECURITY_CRYPT Messages Note The switch supports SFP modules and does not support GBIC modules. Although the error message text refers to GBIC interfaces and modules, the messages from the switch actually refer to the SFP module interfaces and modules. Error Message GBIC_SECURITY_CRYPT-4-ID_MISMATCH: Identification check failed for GBIC in port [chars] Explanation The SFP module was identified as a Cisco SFP module, but the system could not verify its identity.
