Chapter 1 Unpacking the CSS Unpacking and Installing the CSS 3. Carefully remove the CSS from the carton. Warning Two people are required to lift the CSS 11506 chassis. Grasp the chassis underneath the lower edge and lift with both hands. To prevent injury, keep your back straight and lift with your legs, not your back. To prevent damage to the chassis and components, never attempt to lift the chassis with the handles on the power supplies, fan module, or on the interface processors, or by the plastic panels on the front of the chassis. These handles were not designed to support the weight of the chassis. 4. To install the CSS 11503 or CSS 11506, go to the "Preinstallation Requirements" section. If the Product is Damaged If any portion of the unit or component is damaged in transit, forward an immediate request to the delivering carrier to perform an inspection of the product and to prepare a damage report. Save the container and all packing materials until the contents are verified. Concurrently, report the nature and extent of the damage to Customer Service. Report the problem or deficiency to Customer Service along with the model number and serial number. Upon receipt of this information, you will be provided with service instructions, or a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and shipping information.
