To publish content to the default site using FTP: 1. Copy the content to the site. FTP to the server as , cd to /var/www/html and put the content in the /var/www/html directory. 2. To test the site, add an entry for the site to your DNS server or the local host files on your client. NOTE: If your Web browser uses a proxy server, you must add an exception to the proxy settings for the site. For adding virtual sites, see the subsection, "Create Virtual Sites and Publish Content" in this chapter. To publish content to the default site using Microsoft FrontPage: First, verify that the default site IP address is added to your DNS server, or for testing purposes, to your local hosts file. Ping the default site by name from your workstation to test it. If you are testing and the hosts file does not exist, copy the hosts.sam file to hosts and edit it to add the default site IP address and name. File locations for the hosts file: Windows 95/98/ME: c:\windows\hosts Windows NT/2000: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Once a default site has been set up and is accessible through your Web browser, you are ready to publish content via FrontPage. Publish Content to Default Site
The default site for the host name/IP address of the TaskSmart W2200
appliance server is now ready to publish content.
To publish content to the default site using FTP:
1.
Copy the content to the site. FTP to the server as
<userID>, cd to /var/www/html
and put the content in the
/var/www/html
directory.
2.
To test the site, add an entry for the site to your DNS server or the local
host files on your client.
NOTE:
If your Web browser uses a proxy server, you must add an exception to the proxy
settings for the site.

Microsoft FrontPage:
First, verify that the default site IP address is added to your DNS server, or for
testing purposes, to your local
