The System Upgrade Utility feature allows the system administrator to upgrade the system. To upgrade the system: NOTE: The following procedure is based on the assumption that the TaskSmart W2200 appliance server has physical access to the FTP server that contains the file for system upgrade. 1. In the User Name text field, type the user name. 2. In the Password text field, type the password of the user. 3. In the Location of the Upgrade text box, type the location of the FTP file. 4. Click Download the Upgrade. In a few seconds, a screen is displayed that verifies the file name that was requested, and lists the file size. The screen also lists the latest enhancements that are associated with the upgrade. 5. Click Apply Upgrade. The user receives a message stating that the upgrade is being applied, followed by a message stating that the upgrade has been applied. Compaq Agent The TaskSmart W2200 appliance server is equipped with the latest Compaq Insight Management Agents for Servers, allowing easy manageability of the appliance through Compaq Insight Manager, Compaq Insight Manager XE, and third-party SNMP management platforms. Management agents monitor key subsystems that are instrumental in making health, configuration, and performance data available to the agent software. The agents act upon that data by initiating alarms in the event of faults. The agents also provide updated management information, such as network interface or subsystem performance statistics, to the management systems. Compaq Insight Manager is a Microsoft Windows-based, comprehensive management tool that monitors and controls the operation of Compaq servers, appliances and clients. Version 5.0 or higher is required to manage TaskSmart W2200 appliance servers.
