3-8 Compaq ProLiant ML330 Setup and Installation Guide Installing a Hard Drive To install a 3.5-inch hard drive: CAUTION: Before removing the front bezel, make sure that the server is powered down, all cables are disconnected from the server, and the power cord is disconnected from the grounded AC. 1. Follow the steps in "Removing the Access Panel" earlier in this chapter. 2. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of all devices in the hard drive compartment. 3. To configure the device, set the SCSI ID. You must manually set the SCSI ID on each device to a unique value in the range of 0 to 6 for each SCSI bus. Refer to the documentation provided with the device for instructions on how to set the SCSI ID. 5. Remove all terminating jumpers from third-party SCSI devices. (Compaq SCSI cables are terminated.)

Installing a Hard Drive
To install a 3.5-inch hard drive:
CAUTION:
Before removing the front bezel, make sure that the server is

2.
