To tag interfaces, use these commands in the following sequence: Step Command Syntax 1 interface vlan vlan-id 2 tagged interface Command Mode Purpose CONFIGURATION INTERFACE Access the INTERFACE VLAN mode of the VLAN to which you want to assign the interface. The show vlan command output displays the interface's (po 1) changed status. Except for hybrid ports, only a tagged interface can be a member of multiple VLANs. Hybrid ports can be assigned to two VLANs if the port is untagged in one VLAN and tagged in all others. When you remove a tagged interface from a VLAN (using the no tagged interface command), it will remain tagged only if it is a tagged interface in another VLAN.
