Using Remote Install Software
Remote Install software uses Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) to deploy images to
server modules over the network. Remote Install uses a management station/deployment
server including an image database and management agents to deploy images to server
modules.
You can use Remote Install software to capture, predeploy, deploy, and configure systems.
Capture — Allows you to capture an image for deployment to other servers or to
capture an image for backup. Capturing for deployment removes the unique
configuration of that system so the image can be can be deployed to other systems.
Capturing for backup captures an exact copy of the system’s configuration, which can
be redeployed in the event of failure.
