If the next-hop address in the ARP cache ages out for a route tracked for its reachability, an attempt is made to regenerate the ARP cache entry to if the next-hop address appears before considering the route DOWN. Related Commands • show track - display information about tracked objects, including configuration, current state, and clients which track the object. • track ip route metric threshold - configure object tracking on the threshold of an IPv4 route metric. track reachability refresh Change the refresh interval for tracking the reachability of the next-hop. If the next-hop address in the ARP cache ages out for a route tracked for its reachability, an attempt is made to check if the next-hop address is reachable after a certain refresh interval before considering the route DOWN. Syntax track reachability refresh interval Parameters interval Enter the refresh interval, in seconds, for object tracking reachability. The range is from 0 to 60 seconds. The default is 60.
