ENGLISH Connecting Other Sources Connecting the RS-232C terminal These terminals are used for an external controller. Perform the following operation before using an external controller connected to the RS-232C terminal: 1. Press the ON/STANDBY button on the main unit and set the unit to the operating mode. 2. Perform the operation to turn off the power from the external control. 3. Check that the product has been set to the standby mode. After checking the above, check the connections of the external controller. Operation is possible. Connecting the TRIGGER OUT terminal Turn the DC 12V voltage on and off for the individual functions and surround modes. For details, see "Setting the Trigger Out Setup" ( page 46). Connecting the MULTI ZONE terminals Connecting Other Sources For instructions on operations using the MULTI ZONE functions ( page 37~39). ZONE2 out connections • If another power amplifier or pre-main (integrated) amplifier is connected, the ZONE2 out (variable/fixed level) terminals can be used to play a different program source in ZONE2 the same time ( page 37, 38). • When a sold separately room-to-room remote control unit (DENON RC-616, 617 or 618) is wired and connected between the MAIN ZONE and ZONE2, the remote-controllable devices in the MAIN ZONE can be controlled from ZONE2 using the remote control unit.
