ENGLISH Basic Operation SURROUND MODE SURROUND PARAMETER SELECT DSP surround simulation 2 To operate the surround mode and the surround parameters from the remote control unit 1 Select the surround mode for the input channel. (Remote control unit) The surround mode switches in the following order each time the DSP SIMULATION button is pressed: MONO MOVIE ROCK ARENA MATRIX VIDEO GAME JAZZ CLUB 2 Press the SURROUND PARAMETER button to enter the surround parameter setting mode. SURROUND MODE ENTER CURSOR SURROUND PARAMETER 3 Press the SURROUND PARAMETER button, and press the CURSOR D or H button to select the various parameters. 4 Press the CURSOR F or G button to adjust the parameter settings. 5 Press the ENTER button to finish the surround parameter mode. • When making parameter settings, the display will return to the regular condition several seconds after the last button was pressed and the setting will be completed. When turned clockwise: DIRECT STEREO DOLBY PRO LOGIC IIx MONO MOVIE 5CH/7CH STEREO DTS NEO:6 ROCK ARENA JAZZ CLUB VIDEO GAME VIRTUAL SURROUND MATRIX When turned counterclockwise: DIRECT STEREO DOLBY PRO LOGIC IIx MONO MOVIE 5CH/7CH STEREO DTS NEO:6 ROCK ARENA JAZZ CLUB VIDEO GAME VIRTUAL SURROUND MATRIX To select the surround mode while adjusting the surround parameters, tone defeat or tone control, press the SURROUND MODE button, then operate the selector. 2 Press and hold in the SURROUND PARAMETER button to select the parameter you want to set. The parameters which can be set differ for the different surround modes are displayed. (Refer to "Surround modes and parameters" ( page 62).) 3 Display the parameter you want to adjust, then turn the SELECT knob to set it.
