After the carriage reaches the front end of the document table, it rapidly returns to the home position with the lamp turned off. The scanner repeats the action two times, once for the red lamp and once for the blue lamp. Then the carriage returns to the home position and the self test is over. The READY light comes on. If the scanner does not work as described, turn it off. Then make sure that you have removed the transportation screw and that the power cord is firmly plugged in and turn it on again. If that doesn't solve the problem, contact your dealer or call 1-800-9228911. setup 1-7
