60 Using Phone Features 3.1 Using the Phone Like a standard mobile phone, you can use your device to make, receive, and keep track of calls and send messages. You can also dial directly from Contacts, and easily copy phonebook entries from your SIM card to Contacts on your device. The Phone screen From the Phone screen, you can access Call History, Speed Dial, and Phone settings. To open the Phone screen, do any of the following: • Tap Start > Phone. • Press the TALK/SEND button. TALK/SEND button Enter your PIN Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is provided by your wireless service provider. 1. Enter the preset PIN assigned by your wireless service provider. 2. Tap Enter. Note If you entered the wrong PIN three times, the SIM card will be blocked. If this happens, you can unblock it with the PUK (PIN Unblocking Key) obtained from your wireless service provider. Turn the phone function on and off In many countries, you are required by law to turn off the phone while on board an aircraft. To enable or disable the phone function 1. Tap Start > Programs > Comm Manager. 2. On the Comm Manager screen, tap the Phone button to enable or disable the phone function. When enabled, the ON indicator is activated.

60 Using Phone Features
3.1 Using the Phone
Like a standard mobile phone, you can use your device to make, receive,
and keep track of calls and send messages. You can also dial directly
from Contacts, and easily copy phonebook entries from your SIM card to
Contacts on your device.
The Phone screen
From the Phone screen, you can access Call History, Speed Dial, and Phone
settings. To open the Phone screen, do any of the following:

Start > Phone

Enter your PIN
Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is
provided by your wireless service provider.
