Phone Basics 43 Rearranging and removing Home screen items You need to be in Edit mode before you can rearrange or remove Home screen items. When Edit mode is activated, the item magnifies and the phone vibrates. To reposition a Home screen item Press and hold a Home screen item to activate Edit mode. Without lifting your finger, drag it to the desired position on the screen, and then release it. Tips • To move an item from the Home screen to an extended Home screen, press and hold the item, and then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen until the display shifts to the extended Home screen. Position the item on the screen, and then release it. • While holding the icon, you can use the Navigation Control to move from one screen to another. To remove a Home screen item 1. Press and hold the item on the screen you want to remove to activate Edit mode. Notice that the onscreen Phone button changes into Remove ( ). 2. Drag the icon to the Remove button. 3. When the icon and the Remove button turn red, release it. Changing the Home screen wallpaper 1. Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Wallpaper. 2. Select Home. Note Select Lock screen to change the Lock screen wallpaper. 3. Tap Albums or Wallpaper gallery. • Tap Albums to use a picture that you have captured using the camera or copied to your phone as a wallpaper. • Tap Wallpaper gallery to use preset phone wallpapers. 4. Select an image, and then tap Save or Set wallpaper.

Rearranging and removing Home screen items
You need to be in Edit mode before you can rearrange or remove Home screen 
items. When Edit mode is activated, the item magnifies and the phone vibrates.
To reposition a Home screen item
Press and hold a Home screen item to activate Edit mode. Without lifting your 
finger, drag it to the desired position on the screen, and then release it.
Tips
To move an item from the Home screen to an extended Home screen, press and 
hold the item, and then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen until the 
display shifts to the extended Home screen. Position the item on the screen, and 
then release it.
While holding the icon, you can use the Navigation Control to move from one 
screen to another.
To remove a Home screen item
1.
Press and hold the item on the screen you want to remove to activate 
Edit mode. Notice that the onscreen Phone button changes into 
Remove
( 
).

Drag the icon to the 
Remove
button.
3.
When the icon and the 
Remove
button turn red, release it.
Changing the Home screen wallpaper
1.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap 
Wallpaper
.

Select 
Home
