Speakers Description Speaker Kit (includes left and right speakers and cables) Spare part number 809792-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 20). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 26). Remove the speakers: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the speaker cables from the routing clips (2) built into the base enclosure. 3. Remove the two Philllips PM2.0×3.3 screws (3) that secure the speakers to the base enclosure. Component replacement procedures 41

Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

5.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

).
Remove the speakers:
1.
Disconnect the speaker cable
(1)
from the system board.
2.
Release the speaker cables from the routing clips

built into the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the two Philllips PM2.0×3.3 screws
(3)
that secure the speakers to the base enclosure.
