Chapter 6 Installing an Additional Processor Refer to the heatsink installation procedure earlier in this chapter. CAUTION To prevent damage to the replacement processor, remove the old patch and install a new thermal patch to the bottom of the heatsink before installing it on the new processor. The heatsinks are not reusable unless the thermal patch has been replaced each time the heatsink is removed. CAUTION

heatsink before installing it on the new processor.
