Special keys Table 2-8 Special keys and their descriptions Component (1) Gaming macro keys (2) esc key (3) fn key (4) Windows key (5) Action keys (6) Airplane mode key (also referred to as the wireless button) (7) OMEN key Description Allow you to create different gaming key combinations when used alone or with the fn, ctrl, alt, or shift keys. NOTE: See HP OMEN Command Center on page 15 for more information. Displays system information when pressed in combination with the fn key. Executes frequently used system functions when pressed in combination with the fn key. Opens the Start menu. NOTE: Pressing the Windows key again will close the Start menu. Execute frequently used system functions. NOTE: On select products, the f5 action key turns the keyboard backlight feature off or on. Turns the airplane mode and wireless feature on or off. NOTE: A wireless network must be set up before a wireless connection is possible. Opens the OMEN Command Center software.
