Security ■ A Setup utility administrator password and a Windows administrator password have different functions. A Windows administrator password cannot be used to access the Setup utility, and a Setup utility administrator password cannot provide administrator-level access to your notebook contents. ■ If you forget the administrator password set in the Setup utility, you will not be able to access the Setup utility. The following table lists commonly used Setup utility and Windows passwords and describes their functions.
