Keyboard and TouchPad Keypads You can do keypad work with your notebook by using the keypad embedded in the notebook keyboard or by connecting an optional external keypad. The keypad embedded in the notebook keyboard is called the embedded numeric keypad. The embedded numeric keypad cannot be used while an external numeric keypad is connected to the notebook. Using the Embedded Numeric Keypad The embedded numeric keypad consists of 15 keys that can be used like the keys on an external numeric keypad. When the embedded numeric keypad is turned on, each keypad key performs the functions indicated by the icon in the upper-right corner of the key. Hardware and Software Guide 2-15
