Removal and Replacement Procedures ✎ The thermal pads and thermal paste should be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the heat sink 1, 2, and 3 and the system board components 4, 5, and 6, each time the heat sink is removed. Thermal pads and thermal paste should be installed on all surfaces before the heat sink is reinstalled. Thermal pads and thermal paste are included with all heat sink and system board spare part kits. Thermal Pad and Thermal Paste Locations Reverse the above procedure to install the fan/heat sink assembly. 5-84 Maintenance and Service Guide
