Replace parts Replacing parts when necessary helps ensure high-quality scans. Parts might need to be replaced when indicated by the Embedded Web Server or Touch Panel, or if the scanner is not working correctly. The HP ScanJet Pro 4500 fn1 ADF Roller Replacement Kit includes the following replacement parts: ● Roller cover ● Separation rollers ● Pickup roller module The replacement kit also includes detailed instructions for replacing each of these parts. Replace the separation rollers and cover Replace the separation rollers under the following conditions: ● Windows: When the Maintenance Recommended dialog indicates they are due for maintenance. ● If the scanner experiences repeated document jams. NOTE: The roller replacement kit is a consumable and is not covered under warranty or standard service agreements. To replace the separation rollers, follow these steps: 1.
